Premier League - Hart handed Portsmouth job
Eurosport - Tue, 21 Jul 20:10:00 2009
Paul Hart has been installed as Portsmouth's permanent manager, just hours after Sulaiman Al-Fahim's confirmation as chairman.
Hart has signed a two-year contract, having helped Portsmouth avoid relegation after taking over as caretaker boss in February.
Al-Fahim has acted quickly, having taken over as chairman on Tuesday morning after passing the Premier League's fit and proper person test.
He said: "Paul did a great job keeping the team in the Premier League last season, and having previously worked as director of youth operations he knows the club inside-out.
"He has immense experience and a great knowledge of the game, and commands the respect of the players."
Hart said: "The players responded brilliantly to the challenge when I was handed the role last season and I'm looking forward to continuing that relationship."
